Our precious planet—the Green World that sustains us—needs salvation now more than ever, and so do we. Many of us deeply feel the sacredness of the natural world, and our own capacity to participate in and enliven that sacredness. Indeed, we know that we must do so, in order to be whole and fulfilled.
The being who calls himself the Green Christ offers us a radiant path of personal realization and joyful, creative connection with nature’s richness—a richness that is a reflection of our own deepest nature. By inspiring and challenging us to remember ourselves as part of the Sacred Land, the Green Christ brings redemption to the entire living world of Gaia—which inevitably includes humanity as well as the forests, creatures, air and water that sustain us and each other.
Synergizing aspects of Christianity and Paganism, of ancestral knowledge and modern eco-theology, the Green Christ embodies a generous living force arising from the very depths of our beautiful planet. I first met him 30 years ago in the green hills of Avalon (now Glastonbury, England), where even today an ancient, mythic Christ force flows in harmony with the sacred land and waters. Now the Green Christ is emerging in my life to transmit vital, universal teachings for everyone who loves our earth.
When we root his altar in the sacred land, the Green Christ joins us there. This blog is dedicated to sharing his heart-full green love and the essential redemption he brings us all.
